The thing is, Steve, that Jacques specifically refers to the zip file in his notes. If it is, do you know if you're supposed to rename the folder before zipping or just the resulting zip? The original zip isn't available in the "All the Web" download, only a folder. No such luck.Īny guidance as to where it is? It's not the Jacques Prestreau (Black Winny) one, is it? The KVR thread's too-long-to-read, but I checked the first few posts in case it had been linked. SteveHey Steve, thank you for this info, mate.Ĭan't seem to find this set, including from the link provided in this thread, the FLStudio Music page and the GitHub one.

But at least you're not whittling down that list of 13,000 on your own in a synth that only loads 32 presets at a time. And even in those 3,000, you may have duplicate names where the patches themselves are different, or duplicate patches with different names. So, while you can get 13,000 patches at some sites, many of those are going to be duplicates. You might also want to ask the dev, over on KVR: Free FM Synthesizer Dexed (VST Windows and Mac) (Topic in the 'Instruments' forum) | KVR Audio Forum.Īlso, one of the Dexed users cross-referenced and filtered thousands of DX7 patches culled from all over the Interwebz, and distilled them down to the set of 3,000 or so that you can get with Dexed. If it's not responding to your controllers, you might want to make sure you have the latest version (0.9.3, with 0.9.4 coming by March/April). Though I am looking at hardware FM stuff too.Dexed handles pitch-bend and mod-wheel controllers, and also handles MIDI mapping. The one thing I'm disappointed in is my midi controllers pitch bend and mod wheel don't react with Dexed. Thanks for these Monkey Man and Stella! I will be sure to use them in Dexed and try them out. I will use the different tones in my songs. Maybe the brass is a bit harsh, because it goes up to 127 instead of 99 velocity. I tried the factory patches for the DX7 on Dexed, and gotta say, they're very close.
